When In Between is about an inner journey. The songs are all about different states of relationships, about not being there yet, not knowing where you stand with someone or not yet making a change you want to make. They are about transitioning from one thing to another.

Anna and her guitarist recorded these songs back in 2014, but it was when the songs became an important part of a healing journey, that Anna felt ready to release them. She developed the music further and When In Between was released when it was time, ten years later.
