Facing Isolation

video work (english subtitles)

Why do I isolate myself when I don’t want to be alone?
What am I hiding from others and from myself?
What is it that I am really avoiding?

Facing Isolation is an intimate and immersive music artwork set in an abandoned house, which deals with the need to avoid the outside world. The feeling of being left out are described through songs from the English Renaissance with newly composed music with live loop effects.

Through interactive elements and time for reflection the visitor is invited to take care of what was once left behind and experience how an isolated place can come to life.
